The Mandela Effect is a term for where a group of people all mis-remember the same detail, event or physicality. It is named after the instance in which a large group of people all shared the same memory that Nelson Mandela died prior to his actual 2013 death, usually some time in the 1980’s. The effect exploded in popularity on the internet when a peculiar example popped up where a majority of people seemed to have recalled the Berenstain Bears books as being spelled as “Berenstein” or some other variation, differing from the actual spelling as presented by evidence.
The effect is somewhat different from a false memory as it effects large groups of people, seemingly without many connections and without the same emotional factors present. It also seems stronger and harder to escape the feeling that it’s simply a mis-remembering of a detail, which is why people are so adamant with claims of their memories. As such, it’s often been hinted at that the Mandela Effect is closely related to cognitive dissonance. Cognitive dissonance can be mental stress or discomfort experienced by an individual who holds beliefs, ideas, or values and is confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas, or values. Please note the use of “can be” as there is many purists that don’t accept the broader definition and scope of cognitive dissonance applying to memory versus reality.
Many Mandela Effects are usually trivial details about an oddly specific set of categories. These include things such as the how and when of celebrity deaths, misspellings (usually replaced or removed letters), placement of geographical locations, quotations within media, or alternate imagery.
It is also related to misconceptions in general, although, again is differentiated due to the obscure nature and odd feelings resulting from learning the reality. The solutions, explanations and reasons for the misconceptions are also cryptic and often misrepresented or unknown altogether.
The term it fits most with is “confabulation” which is a disturbance of memory which produces fabricated, distorted, or misinterpreted memories about the world, without the explicit or conscious intention to deceive others. People who confabulate in this way produce incorrect memories about the most trivial details (as seen with most Mandela Effects) but range up to more complex fabrications as well. They are generally extremely confident in their recollections and will typically resist any contradictory evidence.
The aim of this site is unique among the current offerings online to attempt to dissect the possible causes and solutions for this perplexing phenomenon with a scientific, rational approach. If you’ve come to read about merging of universes, alternate timelines, and time travel then you are in the wrong place (unless you have evidence of such things!). It is of my opinion that the Mandela Effect is a real thing; however, steeped in the realm of sociology and psychology and not science fiction.

Ok I think Mandela Effect is bullshit but I’m not gonna lie I believe it at first but I done some research like psychology. Like come on people it’s like saying you can remember everything in your life it’s been proven it’s impossible to remember everything not only that have you heard of change or correction of a mistake not only that look on the year of the dates of your books even old and new. Now the movie’s have you ever heard of remastered or you miss a line or two just saying if time travelling did happen they why did it effect movies, books, and logos than?
Probably the craziest thing about Mandela effect is that there is no legitimate method of disproving it. It remains a possibility. No matter what.
“That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.” CH
Bravo. Well done.
If you’re eloquently saying you don’t believe in the Mandela effect I’m with ya.
Well said John. Well said Christopher.
The earliest example in modern times is alteration of the french library to confabulate jesus had children with mary magdelene aka the holy grail who went to southern france and her progeny associated with the merovingian line and the cathar sect with the objective of fabricating a king messiah the descendent of christ global order such as prince wiliam etc.
This is not nazi ufo tech stuff rather more like a long term ministry of truth project as portrayed in the da vinci code.
In other words mi6 was not the first intel agency. Rome had intel….israel….egypt….sumer.
This does not require chariot of the gods only high level survivors of the fall of a civilization like the mayans to return as gods among men or in fiction a connecticut yankee in king arthurs court or more recently idiocracy. As for nazi science from other worlds as von braun’s partner stated, thats a whole other issue….
These people genuinely believe that it is more plausible that the entire universe is not as it seems than they just dont remember correctly.
Yes, the height of arrogance.
I think that’s what pisses me off about ME’ers. They’re SO.FUCKING. SURE.
No, nobody taught you to spell ‘dilemma’ with an N. You’re just fucking stupid. Get over it,
100% agree with you. The arrogance that they are right and everyone else is wrong. They won’t even entertain the possibility that they are remembering something incorrectly, NOPE it’s a parallel universe. Sure, right. These people need a straight jacket.
I distinctly remember the Lord’s prayer as: “…Thy will be done ON earth as it is in heaven…” Now, ON earth is replaced by IN earth. We do not live in earth, we live on earth and that’s the way it use to be prayed by all Christians. Also, it used to the the lion shall lay with the lamb. It now is the wolf shall lay with the lamb. I am not arrogant, nor do I need a straight jacket… despite your assertions.
Maggie: your memory is FALSE: This is the original quote from the bible, I have an old version:
Isaiah 11:6
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isaiah 65:25
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
people have COMBINED in false memory DIFFERENT passages of the bible.
As for”in” and”on” earth. Never in the past months I’ve heard someone praying “in” earth.
I think the Mandela effect is real. I remeber a bunch of things being different. I remember febreeze not febreze. I remember Looney Toons not Loony Tunes. But I know some of them are just stupid. Who got Chic-fil-a but that’s wrong. I don’t believe there is a parallel universe but that there is a possibility that time travel could exist. I’ve read that black holes are teleports to an alternate universe which may be a possibility. It could also be that millions of people are wrong, which I doubt because how could millions and millions of people all remember the same thing but all be wrong
Okay, I’m researching the Mandela effect. What got me involved was that three days ago I heard the Lamb Chops Play Along song altered from “This is the song that never ends…” to “This is the song that doesn’t end…”
The people suffering from false memories are the ones who believe it is “This is the song that doesn’t end…”, “Berenstain”, “Magic mirror on the wall…”, etc.. No, the cause of the Mandela Effect isn’t an alternate universe interacting with ours. However, part of the cause is that a highly advanced program, call it an AI if you want, is changing the phrases of text, vocals, and images on the Internet. What you read and type on any device connected to the Internet may be altered. You may not see the changes, but others may, and vice versus.
Everyone I know in real life who knows the true phrases are “This is the song that never ends…”, “Berenstein”, “Mirror, mirror on the wall…” etc. have in common is that we suffer from either an extremely minor or moderate form of dyslexia. I hypothesize in the brains of people with dyslexia, information is processed differently which actually makes them resistant to false memories.
A new phrase that I found on my own, which no one on the Internet has mentioned yet is the phrase “Do no evil”. I came across this phrase many years ago, which it was Google’s motto. The reason I remember it is because I found it to be a super cheesey take on “See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil”. Go look up Google’s motto(s). It was changed to “Don’t be evil” and is said to sometimes be confused with “Do no evil”. The phrase “Do no evil” supposedly comes from an Arabic proverb “Do no evil, your enemy becomes powerless”. Now Alphabet (Google), has dropped the motto “Don’t be evil” and replaced it with the motto “Do the Right Thing”.
Let’s use linguistics to dissect “Berenstein” and “Berenstain” using pure logic. The family surname “Beren” is German and the coat of arms has a bear on it. The word “stein” is German and means “rock” or “stone”. The word “stain” isn’t German. Based on logic alone, which makes more sense… two German words that form the surname “Berenstein” or a German word and an English word that form the surname “Berenstain”? Berenstein is linguistically logical.
Ever heard of the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis? How about neurolinguistic programming? This is MK Ultra on steroids. Nazism on steroids. Social engineering on steroids.
History is indeed being rewritten. Not from the past, but from the present.
I remember hearing an article about a year and a half ago of them consciously changing Google’s slogan from “do no evil” to “don’t be evil”.
Interesting post. I just found out about the so-called mandela effect because I erroneously tried to correct someone that spelled dilemna with two “m’s”, as in dilemma. I was honestly SHOCKED when I learned that I was the one who was in the wrong! I consider myself a relatively intelligent person (I have a Doctorate) and I have been spelling the word dilemna for 30 years plus. I googled dilemma to look for alternate spellings and that is how I learned of this theory! Crazy.
Your post interests me because I have a very slight case of dyslexia; I often mix up words when reading aloud and I mix up letters occasionally when I write. I don’t know that I buy in completely, especially because I vividly remember Nelson Mandela’s time as President and his life after prison however, until yesterday I was absolutely sure of the following:
Berenstein Bears, Dilemna, Chic-fil-a (my friends in college always called it Shick-filla due to its spelling), Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Life is like a box of chocolates, Interview with A vampire, All Gold CP30, Coca Cola Logo…..
Crazy!!!
This “Mandela” effect is a delusion, brought about by the arrogance of a closed mind, that thinks that just because they have all this information and intelligence (YouTube LOL) at their fingertips that they know how to use it, or are even using it correctly. Critical thinking has OBVIOUSLY NOT been applied to this, at all, by the believers of some sort of paranormal phenomena. Someone mis-remembered something, and compared it with someone else who mis-remembered the same instance, object, or physicality, so somehow that’s proof of some sort of quantum/reality effect that some clandestine organization is deliberately inflicting on our universe?
SMH.
Thank you for this website and this article.
Big facts, brothe’
Excellent introduction! Summarizes this phenomenon rather well and without any bias, more importantly. Wonderful and highly scientifically accurate site, its rare to find a proper article such as this one on the internet. My best wishes to the author.
That sounds Witty but are memories not proof , why do give eye witness accounts of events in court for evidence. You tell me how you remember berestein bears.
I’m not sure if the mandela effect is real, but I do know what I remember growing up to be fact, I dont care how much psychology or science you use to justify your egotism, people know what they know. It could possibly be CERN or some crazy thing thr government is doing to slightly alter reality-based event’s such as a word in a movie tagline, the lyrics of a popular song, logo’s ect.. to see what kind of response the public will give. I am a conspiracy theorist, and a lot of unexplained things has happened throughout history that the government’s of the world have tried to keep hidden!! I believe we live in a matrix based reality! Yeah, any of us can sit back and disregard the signs around us everyday, and brush them off as false perceptions or confabulation, but you really cant rule anything out unless you’re all knowing! Anything is possible!

If you change time the writer won’t write we need a bigger boat it’ll say you need a bigger boat. I’m the one who travels dimensions not forward or back but left and right. In times of extreme distress is when it is possible from a subconscious state. I am the one who effects the timelines. My name is Jason rozzelli.
I been reading up on this for a few days constantly. yes it is all very interesting, and I even fell into questioning it myself. but the fact of the matter is. there will never be any evidence to prove either case, unless it is proven that there is other dimensions. HOW EVER! if you ever look into the quantum computers, even listen closely to the creator describe what they do. he talks a lot about other dimensions, and many other uses for them, like storing conciseness ect. this quantum computer is what they have connected to the collider, where they are studying other dimension. it may have started out at learning how the galaxy was created. but something tells me they opened something and now there research has changed paths. but that’s just me, anyhow, just saying. there will never be proof unless the other dimensions are proved 1st. but the fact that so many including myself fall into these wrong memories, I definitely feel there is something going on. is it a very elaborate hoax? IDK, but it’s definitely convincing and intriguing.
” … merging of universes … ” “… my opinion that the Mandela Effect is a real thing; however, steeped in the realm of sociology and psychology and not science fiction.”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but you seem to think multiverse as a “scifi” thing. Then perhaps you know very little of the study of quantum physics and all that’s taken place at CERN. Never mind the fact, despite variable “i”, quantum physics is style far more “real” than any branch of psychological science.
In fact, I know from working in a clinic and writing software for one of the world’s leading child psychologist, psychologist in general are constantly at odds with both each other and other members of the scientific community because most of their work is not seen as “science”, but rather simply observations and perspectives; which are but 2 ideals used to evaluate hypothesis in science, but do not equal any particular branch of science by themselves.
I should note, I’m not trying to be rude with this statement. It is simply as presented with no sarcasm or extra notes of negative emotion. I’m simply curious on your reasoning and logic.
quantum physics is still*
“Luke I am your father” Debunk that! LOL good luck! Earl Jones even says “Luke I am your father” in interviews.
Look.. It’s fairly simple… People misquoted the movie (perhaps intentionally at first in order to disambiguate the otherwise more generic phrase of “No, I am your father” and establish it as more recognizable) enough over the years to where meme of the misquote itself has transcended the original line from the movie to the point that even James Earl Jones uses it… That’s all…
Furthermore, if you go back and watch the actual scene, replacing the line with “Luke” instead of “No” actually doesn’t flow as well in the provided context… So.. While it is very interesting from a psychological standpoint, there is no evidence that would suggest this is anything more than our minds “playing tricks” on us…
We watched and quoted all of the 80’s movies thousands of times. It was Luke. E.T. phoned home. Etc etc etc. Thousands of examples across millions and millions of people cant be wrong.

Um ok, how about you listen to the context. Luke “He told enough, he told me you killed him.” DV “No, I am your father.” He says “No” as in, “No, I didn’t kill him… I am him.” If DV said “Luke” it wouldn’t fit.
James Earl Jones has quoted both line actually so I don’t think you can use that.
To me, “no” does flow right and we’re not sure what else was changed. I know it said Luke we there. We watched it hundreds of times. And then we’d pretend to be vadar evening breathing with the mask and say “Luke, I am your father”. Technically I guess not it was a misquote but not then. Its changed.
Many of the examples I saw illustrating the Mandella effect were graphic related, such as Coca Cola Zero, Folger’s, and the Kit Kat logo changes, which only lead me to assume that these name changes might reflect a change in corporate ownership of the products or a change made in the formula of these products.
No! I am your father…
I experienced a Mandela Effect known to psychology as Confabulation event some yrs ago!
Watching the evening television news a story came on re protesters who were unhappy about the response to a high profile Australian disappearance, that had no connection at all to Queensland or to the City of Brisbane.
Video footage showed two men I had known for a long time at the Kangaroo Point cliffs which overlook the Brisbane River and Brisbane City a location that is popular with visitors, they had a sign which read “Hang the Xxxxx.”
At that time I thought it was entirely out of character for them to be involved with such a protest, not only because of the unlikely location .. although they worked together from time to time they were never to my knowledge particularly close.
The television reporter spoke to the both of them who reiterated their call for a proper police investigation and trial .. some time after that I ran into one of the men who I had known since I was fifteen yrs old and I asked him what the story was.
He told me he never mixed with the other fellow at all except during working hours and that he had not protested about the crime in question at any time .. the other dude said the same, that he had at no time taken part in a demo at the Kangaroo Point cliffs.
To this day I have a vivid recollection of seeing them both on television at the cliff top location with their sign 🙂 Cheers.
The thing I cannnot get past with the ME is the bibe which has a few changes that people grew up with and some that are historically incompatible, one example being instead of saying don’t put new wine into old wineskins it now says bottles – there were no bottles but apart from that this is such a well known saying especially as this is not something that may have been a fashion and may have been misremembered – peope spend their lives on reading this book. There is also a paragraph where jesus wants revenge on people (can’t remember the exact place or words) but he at no time wanted revenge – in his mortal incarnation anyway.
I think it is good that there is an attempt to try to explain it but I think you will need to expand your reasoning as this really seems to be supernatural OR some kind of social experiment at best.
The bible changes had me going too… i was introduced to the mandela effect last night. As soon as they mentioned alterations in the bible i started doing research. King James Version (KJV) or possibly (NKJV) was the only incorrect version. I compared the same verses with different versions. I dont believe the bible has been altered. Im on the fence about this phenomenon & have started my research.
You can not slap a systemic label, of some brand of psychology, on everyone.
You can not tell the world, we are all incorrect, that parallel universes don’t exist, or can’t collide.
You can not disprove life experiences. I can only wonder who is paying you “debunker” types.
Some day something will be out of place for you, then you’ll be too afraid to share it. You’re parents might disappear. You never know, a road might be where a house was, a shopping center might manifest.
You people are being too bold about your opinions.
This will bight you in the backside.
Heed my warning.
Whatever this is that you’re trying to cover up, will soon cover you over.
I am a retired graphic artist that have made numerous News paper advertisements for many kinds of businesses and retailers. In the old days of Commercial arts we were sent advertising printed clip art from the different company’s product’s that we included in our advertising which was cut and pasted into the print ads and had to meet the manufacturers specifications and sizes for the particular size ads being ran. This was to insure the store advertising the products would be able to claim co-op funds from the supplier to help pay the cost of the ad. I have on file from the 70’s printed (not digital) clip art from Milton Bradley and the Monopoly game man has a monocle. I also have “Reddi Wip” clip art that shows the can logo spelled “Reddi Whip” Explain this anomaly to me again!
So, I love this.. because while I’m an amateur in the soft sciences, I still find them fascinating. (When I say “soft-science” I don’t mean to belittle it at all, as some might assume.)
My first guesses about the possible causes of the Mandela Effect were:
1. Power of suggestion
2. Data loss per each retrieval of “memory file”
3. Common correlations to logical versions of what we incompletely witness
– our brains automatically do this to efficiently make sense of or gloss over unknowns
– our perceptions even correct our vision, we have blind spots that disappear as our visions move laterally away: https://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/chvision.html
– e.g. “Bernstein” suffix is extremely common, and perhaps the books were specifically spelled with the bears’ last names as -stain to avoid preconceived notions
4. Common views of celebrity/infamous kindling/reinforcing misrepresentation
5. Advertising in general has such a large number of complexities meant for subliminal or otherwise openly catchy methods
– often times things are misspelled to be “cute” e.g. “Witeout”
– subtle incorrect details to create a mild notation in the subconscious
– repetition (which we see a great deal with the Mandel Effect), often verbatim
6. Electronics; clarity that affects obtainable information – especially until the past 5-10 years, there were major (and much larger) quality differences for each consumer
– broadcasting signals that effected picture and audio
– actual television or radio quality
– methods of recording directly off of the device that plays the media or otherwise via recording device pointed at the device
– switches from analogue to digital to HD became available at different times for different socioeconomic paradigms
Again, I’m not an expert, but these were my initial thoughts. However, I do occasionally find myself chilled when I encounter Mandela Effects, or discover my own now, that are a little too disorienting. No matter how skeptical I am, or how well I could rationalize everything to myself, there are still those moments.
Honestly, I’m not saying there are parallel universes or that BS, but I do find it weird that so many people remember the same thing just to be proven wrong afterwards. I can distinctly remember The Looney Toons, because The Looney Tunes wouldn’t make sense (as they were cartoons, not songs!). Also it was always Mirror , Mirror on the wall not Magic mirror. Just saying…
I have been working in a library for 27 years packing books every morning. The practice of replacing books on the shelf requires that you look at the spelling of the name. The “Berenstein” books, that are now spelt “Berenstain”, i packed for 27 years. It was about 8 years ago when i first noticed the changing of the spelling from “stein” to “stain” not a false or incorrect memory thank you.
Maybe ask the author how they spell it now and how they spelled it 20+ years ago. I think you will find it’s Berenstain.
http://www.ptl.stparchive.com/Archive/PTL/PTL09121985P06.php Saturday at 7:00am TV show is spelled Berenstein …..
I don’t understand what you say about purists and cognitive dissonance. A lot of my scientific work is about dissonance, and I’ve never come across the idea in scientific writing that dissonance doesn’t apply in case a memory clashes with reality. I would say it’s a common situation for dissonance to appear.
Or perhaps it’s the Mandela Effect and Festinger’s “A Theory of Cognitive Dissonance” has been altered in this universe? 🙂
Its imposible too debunk.
Like debunking if good exist or not.
Ppls personal opinions aint proof.
The onus is not on the “debunker” to disprove that the Mandela Effect exists… It is on the theorist whom claims it exists in the first place… Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.. And just as you quite eloquently stated.. “Personal opinions ain’t proof”.
I just began to notice that things are spelled differently like bernstein and oscar meyer being spelled differently then in my reality. I really freaked out when I saw the hot dog pack saying oscar mayer not oscar meyer today. Also on this earth apparently 4 presidents were assassinated in my old reality there were only 2 Lincoln and Kennedy I definitely remember that from history class. I experienced an intense ringing in my ears a day before I began to notice these differences. The thing that really creeps me out though is the location of earth somehow it has moved from the outer arm of Sagittarius to the orion arm that’s a 20000 lightyear difference from where I was taught earth was located.
Welcome to the new earth buddy. Where all realms exist and multiple versions of reality converge. Come to realize that we are all creators in time and space. The ‘world’ is your oyster. Be not afraid. The old hiarchy is about to fall ‘although not without a fight’ and I urge you to grab the bull by the horns so to speak and commandeer your destiny. Enjoy the ride.
As a person who has a scary attention to detail and a weird way of associated thought, I can tell you most of the misconceptions labeled as “effect” are really quite explainable when the brain receives new information. For example, Looney Tunes vs. Looney Toons. It’s the former. It’s not just a logical association to the word cartoons, but also a similar brand that has been associated. Tiny Toons. It’s not uncommon to have these misconceptions. There are sciences that provide theories in regards to time and alternate universes. Wonderful work being done, but cognitive disassociation is not quantum theory. Don’t believe the kid who keeps posting pictures of his phone going back in time. I don’t think I need to explain that here.
It’s real, not likely parallel dimensions or tinetravel, probably Google, ai, and faulty memory convergence.
All too much!! Your all bickering back and forth over small petty stuff. I have also questioned my memory lately but there ARE a few effects that I am sure have changed. I.E. “lion and the lamb”, “sex in the city”, “fly my pretties” etc… Regardless of what we remember. . . we need to STOP turning against each other and consider that it could be possible that we are remembering incorrectly and (to all you know-it-alls) that possibly our reality is truly changing! NOONE on this planet is “all knowing” and to talk your shit about others and making yourself out to be soooo wise is sad! You dont know anything about anything outside of our bubble here on earth! Try some ayahuasca or mushrooms and get a glimpse of the outside. But be sure that when we die we WILL know that we dont know shit – regardless of your degrees or religion. All I do know is that our world is turning against itself between trump and mandela effects and more! We need to help each other not belittle for we are all on the same team here on this tiny planet – The Human Race! IF we do ever have to stand strong against an enemy we will fail – ” Divide and Conquer ”
I hope that Cern has opened some portal just as long as they close it when they are done and keep us informed of it (unlikely)
There are defonitely some pretty signoficamt differences going on. Some are scientific. Others are not as clear. Some of these things are not true. Like Curious ageprge having a tail for exame. A false memory.
Why they are changing mames of products and moving locations of things on the eath and changing known facts is strange and just seems wrong to me. The other things are all seemingly a part of some big dumbing down of society project!

Just learned yesterday of the Mandela Effect through a few of my 7th grade Language Arts students. Did a little research and am intrigued.
All right-so perhaps this is the right forum: something has been bugging me for over 15 years so I’ll just throw it out there: I can SWEAR that I saw a NY Times article a day or 2 after Sep 11, 2001, describing that a Chinese airliner exploded over Asia somewhere, killing all of about 250 passengers. Can find no info now, other than an in-air collision between US and Chinese Military aircraft, yielding our aircraft to them for a short period of time. So I figure I must have my memories mixed up.
Does this count as Mandela Effect? I suppose it would if large numbers of people had the same memory.
Anyone else???
Thanks.
Why are people debunking the Mandela effect, when will they learn that you can’t debunk it completely.
I warn you that the more you debunk the Mandela effect the stronger the Mandela effect gets,
that is proof right there.
and if you don’t believed me then wait as the changes happen slowly over time.
I edited a doc about Mandela effect as I put the puzzles together and break down each theory’s and solved this like a crime case. And i tell you why its not caused by CERN as it Doe’s not come even close to this new theory that I explain it in a way that you will understand it.

Mike if you only remember two presidents being assassinated, then you never heard of the Zero factor curse for a President and how President Reagan was the President to “break” the curse? If not you should probably go back to school, I learned this in 6th grade history class.
If everyone wants proof that the Mandela effect is real, then here it is. Words like “matrix”, “stuff”, and “goodlier” are in the Bible now. Just think about those words and you will see that they never would have existed in the Old English vocabulary. The word “witchcraft” is also in the Bible now. The only problem is that witchcraft didn’t exist in King James’ time, it was sorcery. The word witchcraft comes from the word Wicca, so even when it was called witchcraft in the 16th century, it was spelled “wiccecraeft”. So, why is it “witchcraft” in the Bible when that spelling of the word didn’t even exist yet? That looks like proof to me and I guess God must’ve liked the matrix so much that it was put in the Bible 2,000 years before the movie came out, huh? I know you idiots are gonna tell me that matrix means mother, but why does the verse say “he who openeth the matrix”?
Pop culture is all well and good, in ww2 berlin was entirely liberated by the Russian army the allies didn’t arrive until two more mths later and the war in Europe ended in 45,Alaska was invaded by Japan with five other attacks on the east coast of the us, hundreds of u boat attacks on the west coast and the Gulf of Mexico. This is all new history to me much like there being 6 folks in JFK s car in Dallas
When I was at School Australia was the biggest Island on Earth
Growing up in Australia myself , Australia was never taught as being an Island , we ( us Aussies ) call it our Island home , but its a Continent.
If there were only 4 people in JFK’s limo . . . who’s driving? The First Lady of Texas?
It’s a scary world we live in – either people actually believe that the ME is real or the world is actually changing around us. (I don’t believe in the ME)
its always been Looney Tunes , and im sorry your history on the Looney Tunes is incorrect , you state that it doesnt make sense , therein lies your lack of knowledge on the franchise. Looney Tunes the name was inspired by Walt Disney’s musical series Silly Symphonies both Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies sprang from Silly Symphonies , it was only toward the end of the 1980’s that the word cartoon was shortened to toons . in this instance people are mixing up Tiny Toons ( tiny toon adventures ) with Looney Tunes.
Here’s the problem. No one seems to be unaffected. While we scientifacally evaluate it, how do we put ourselve outside of the effect to objectively observe. As you prognosticate can you answer honestly what you remember, before you peek at the answer. I challenge all of you. I’ll wait…
Miss-spellings I think can be excluded for obvious reasons.
Some brands may have changed how their logos or symbols look like over time.
But what about the Statue of liberty that suppose to be on Ellis island and now is on Liberty island ? Some references currently found state that the island was renamed at a point, while g00gleberg maps clearly show 2 distinct islands. So which is it ?
And what about Star Wars “Luke ?” too many clearly remember the line and there are classic toys that can still in circulation that use the same “Luke ” line, not the ‘No’ version. There’s also a similar issue with 3PO and his leg. Way too much inconsistencies.
As a personal experience, being a veteran mountain traveler that even used to correct touristic map markers, when returning to a specific area after a few years, I 100% clearly remember that one of the mountain outposts was km away in a completely different direction. The outpost was not rebuild or anything. Still, it’s in a completely different location. I find this most disturbing and no explanation for it whatsoever. And I do not have a memory problem. I currently know exactly 470 distinct passwords for various IT-related accounts + other types of codes or pins out of which I constantly use only under 50, but I can still use any of the others at any time without difficulty remembering them. This mountain outpost thing is the only in this world that I found no logical way to explain it.
If I had to go by the written word, I would be convinced that I have a false memory and that the famous TV show is actually called Sex and the City, despite my clear memory of it being called Sex in the City.
However the show won many golden globes and other awards and many of the presentations are to be seen on YouTube where it is clearly introduced as, yes Sex in the City.
But I remember Thanksgiving being the 3rd Thursday for some odd reason. And what about James Earl Jones and Star wars?
If it is a different universe or timeline then what changed? Luke i am your father or no i am your father. He is still his father. Sex in the city/ sex and the city. Who gives a shit. They still are in the city and having sex. Looney toons/ looney tunes. It dosent matter. When bugs bunny starts tell us god is real or vote for Trump, then i will believe. I can’t understand how people don’t ask the simple question like why.
I agree kevin. Like oh they must have changed it is an awefully good rational explanation. Or that I can t find any information online, but I bet you a book at the library might have some information in it. Not….oh!! It says nothing online!! Clearly it never existed…come on people.
I’ve stumbled onto another potential Mandela Effect subject. As a fan of the first “Odd Couple” series in the seventies, and have never been that interested in the reboot versions including the current one, of course I recall the African-American TV version that followed in the early eighties “The New Odd Couple” starring Ron Glass and Demond Wilson as Felix and Oscar, respectively. But I also remember the female version with Sally Struthers and Rita Moreno (in the equivalent roles of Florence and Olive). Now in looking back, I find the internet only has me memory of that version being done on stage, but I specifically recall seeing it done as a TV series also, although a very short-lived one. I have one memory of Rita coming in the front door and upsetting Sally about not wiping her feet. One possible explanation would be that my memory is actually one of viewing an “Entertainment Tonight” report from the set of the stage version, but I don’t believe so. I have vivid memories about the network deciding to cancel the show early on, after very few episodes. Can anyone back me up on the claim of the female version of “The Odd Couple” actually airing as a television series?
The mandella effect is real. Just look at the ,’ happy’ video from CERN, especially the guy holding the sign in it. VERY suspect!! I think it is CERN messing with us because of their Illuminati ties. If even their scientists aren’t sure if their experiments will mess with the fabric of reality on a quantum level, and if Steven Hawking and others are very concerned, shouldn’t we be? The Bible changes are what scare me the most and I’m not even that religious although i do believe in a higher power that connects us all. If people who spend their lives reading the Bible are confused by the significant changes in it, lines in verses changing, words not from the time the bible was written such as stuff and matrix, then shouldn’t the rest of us start worrying. I think something needs to be done by every country to shut that corrupted unholy machine down until mankind has grown up enough and understood enough to be responsible enough to have something of that power in their control.
